We are a family of five plus one pet and we live in Salinas, California While this is affluent community.Frank is home (mostly sleeping:) during the mornings and works in afternoons to very late evenings.He works in San Francisco and commutes by car.The matriarch and queen bee of the family is I Mary.Mary is 37 years old and is self-employed as a psychotherapist and Life Coach.I am home most of the day either working online with clients, on the phone with clients, or playing with the children.I will be soon studying for my Ph.D.Angela who is 5 years old and in Kindergarten.And Margery who is 4 years old and is in her second year of pre-school.The children attend two different schools - both quite close to home, and are involved currently in gymnastics, girl scouts, music lessons, and love to bike ride, skate, and go to parks.We would like to have someone who is young and spirited and trying to make a better life for herself.We want to be a part of that because we think culturally that we can understand that better than many host families as we are a mix of cultures: Puerto Rican and African American.After school, the kids have activities some days which she may transport them to from time to time, and then they come home for free play, homework, dinner, baths, night time stories, and sleep.It is during much of this time that I would need her as I have frequent client calls during after work hours.Once they are in bed - she is finished for the night but as part of the family I would love to spend time with her if that's what she chooses or help her find things for her to do and meet people her age in the area.It is very important that the Au Pair doesn't let my children run all over her., commands respect, yet is playful and loving.My children are very loving and affectionate.A cold personality will not work here.It is also important that she is active and a fast learner.Finally it is important that to us that she finds her year with us one of the most rewarding and memorable times of her life.And we want our children to feel the same.Tillträde: Vintern -07 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
