Au Pair/Stamford, Connecticut

The other two members are "Whiskers and Clover" the cats.I am a Vice President of sales at a women's apparel designer company and works in New York City.Sharon is a Sr.Vice President with Federated Department Stores.We enjoy skiing during the winter and drive to Vermont to our condominium on the weekends during the winter months.Jordan, Ari and Sharon are excellent skiers and I do my best to keep up with them.The girls are in a racing program and ski at different mountains where they race other children their age.Sharon and the girls also ride horses and are learning to jump.I am learning to stay on!The girl's ice skate year round and during the summer months we all swim in our pool.During the summer we take a sailing vacation to the islands off Massachusetts, we travel out West for a skiing vacation during the school break in March and spend two weeks in Vermont during the Christmas Holidays.Jordan and Sharon are in the 5 th grade, the final year of the lower school.They will move up to the middle school in June and enter the 6 th grade.They lead a very managed and controlled life.School is their primary focus in life.They are excellent, disciplined students and work very hard on their studies.During the week they ice skate, take piano lessons, horseback ride and are involved in school activities.They have some play dates where time allows.Our au pair has a private room located in the lower level of the house.There is a private bath, bedroom and sitting area.The room has a TV, a VCR, a stereo and a phone.There is plenty of room for friends to spend the weekend and we encourage our au pairs to have friends over as much as they want. Our home is located on one acre of land and is very private.There are plenty of trees and the area is full of deer, squirrels and other small animals of the area.Local shopping is minutes from the house and downtown Stamford is a 15 minute drive from the house.We live 50 miles from New York City, which is a one hour train ride, 3 hours from Boston and 6 hours from Washington D.C., the capitol of the United States.Stamford has many restaurants, plenty of shopping as well as museums, theatres, beaches, and bike riding and roller blade trails.The train station is 20 minutes from the house and once in New York City there are more things to do and see.Broadway shows, Times Square, great food and festivals, every kind of shopping you can think of as well as beautiful parks, museums and movie theatres.We look forward to meeting you and have you as part of our extended family!
