Our family is currently looking for an Au Pair to come join us in the States.Hopefully, upon reading this letter you will have an idea of what we are looking for in an Au Pair, and what our family life entails.We are looking for an Au Pair to come take care of our two sons and then eventually our third child who will be born in December.Our previous experiences with our Au Pairs have been excellent and they have rapidly become a part of our family.The most important qualities that we require in someone who is going to be with our children are honesty, dependability and a strong sense of responsibility.Our new Au Pair must truly love children.We want someone with lots of energy, someone who has patience; creativity and can learn to relate to children at their own level.This person must also be willing to cook meals for the kids and sit down with them during the day to help them practice their reading and writing. Now that we've talked about what we expect, let me tell you about our family.We are also expecting our third child in December.Thus, eventually there will be three kids to take care of.The two boys are four and six years old.The older one is starting first grade and will be in school from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday.John, my younger son is in preschool and will be in school 9am to 1pm daily.John is driven to school everyday and then picked up.Both boys participate in sports activities after school.They are very energetic and very loving children.They are well behaved and have a lot of love and affection to offer.We treat them with respect and they in turn treat others around them similarly.Discipline is used very judiciously in our home.We never hit our children and any discipline that takes place is done in a kind and intelligent fashion. We live in Trumbull, Connecticut.This is a great place to live.It's a town that is residential.However, where is the train system that makes New York City and Boston within a one and a half hour reach.Your private place in our four-bedroom home would be your own bedroom and a bathroom that you would share with the boys.Once we are comfortable with your driving skills, we would allow you to use one of our family cars to drive the kids around to their activities and to you classes. Our strict preference is for someone who does not smoke or drink alcohol.Also our kids are severely allergic to nuts, so we have a nut, especially peanut, free home.
