Au Pair/Warrenton, VA.

Our family lives in Virginia, about 7 hour west of Washington DC.We live in a small rural town that is growing fast.We came here because we thought our children would have a better experience growing up in a smaller community.Generally speaking we are a casual family with little formality in our day-to-day routines.Alexis is our older daughter.She recently turned 8 years old.She is a smart and kind person.She enjoys swimming and ballet and is doing very well in 2nd grade.She likes to tell jokes and has a lot of friends.Paige is our second daughter who is almost 7.She is a warm and happy girl.Unfortunately she was diagnosed with autism when she was younger.This means that her communication and social skills are limited.On first appearance no one can tell anything is wrong because she plays well on her own and has no physical problems.However, she has difficulty with speech and interactions with other people.We discovered the problem early in her life and made serious efforts to help her.She has had a great deal of therapy that taught her language and speech, as well as other normal life activities (toilet training, dressing, eating, etc).She has responded well to her therapy and has significantly improved her ability to let others know what she wants/needs.She now goes to kindergarten with special education.At home she has therapists that come to our home and continue to work with her to develop more skills.Despite Paige's problems, she is a happy and typical girl.She is warm and affectionate.Her prior therapy did a lot to help her language and she can say a lot about what she needs and wants.She loves her dolls, computer games, and enjoys other children but may need some help interacting with them.During the summer she enjoys going to the pool and playing outside.We can provide more details if there are any questions about her.My wife's parents had been the caregivers for the children when they were younger, but we've had an au pair now for almost 2 years.Our au pair has been very happy here and we believe future ones will also.There are other au pairs in the community and we provide our current au pair with a car and a cell phone to enjoy her time off.We recently moved into a large new home and have a lot of room for someone to live here.We hope we can find an au pair that can be casual but very responsible and be willing to have some flexibility to her schedule.Our town offers a quiet setting, but one of the world's largest cities is only 1 hour away.It has some of the world's best museums, restaurants, and is a place of historical interest.We have a pleasant, happy household and welcome the person looking to join it.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Våren -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
