Au Pair/Washington D.C.

The Larter household is pretty typically American.We are always running around like crazy.My husband, Viktor and I both hold down full time jobs.As most people in Washington DC, we pretty much have to b/c of the high cost of housing in this area.My husband works with computers.He's a network engineer for some of the biggest hospitals in DC.I leave the house by 5 each morning.Viktor leaves by 8.I'm usually home around 3 or so.We get dinner ready, then eat, baths, then it's time for bed and to start the rat race all over again.On weekends we're always out and about doing things.We're rarely ever home.We live in the beautiful suburbs of Highland, MD (about 15 miles north of DC).It takes about 40 minutes for us to drive to work everyday.It can be quite exhausting.But, we enjoy the peace and quiet feel of living so far out.My in laws stay with us on occasion.They are retired now, but do real estate on the side and are buying a house in Florida to stay in during the cold winters.We usually go to Disney once each winter.Now that they have a house there, we may go more often.Needless to say, our house is usually a flurry of activity. We have a swimming pool, and a 2 mile bike path that goes around our housing development.We're surrounded by horse pastures as we are in a horse farming community.There is also a park close by with a large playground and community center.We are very careful with the pool and the road though as our boys have the "no fear" gene pretty badly.When inside the house, we keep all the doors locked and the alarm on so we are alerted if one of the children tries to get outside w/o supervision.I think that pretty much sums up our family.I'm sure there are many other questions you'll have about us that we'll be happy to answer when we meet.Sincerely, The Larter Family (Viktor, Jennifer, Alanna and Luke) Tillträde: Hösten Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
