Au Pair/Washington, DC

We are excited about the possibility of hosting another international au pair for a year.We are a small urban four-person family two miles north of the White House in the middle of Washing DC.Previously we had au pairs from Romania and Russia, and we had a nanny from Togo. We will try to provide the au pair with a warm, attentive family that will welcome the au pair into life with American family.Our previous au pairs have found active social lives, meeting interesting people and adapting to the lively Washington DC social scene. Our au pairs have found friends through ethnic community and religious connections and also by socializing with other au pairs, some of whom live close by.Our previous au pairs have enjoyed events at festivals, concerts, theater, parks, museums, movie theaters, family parties, church, cafes and clubs in our nations capital as well as the universities.Our previous au pairs also have managed to take weekend trips to the ocean, mountains, or New York City.Our au pairs have taken non-degree academic courses at the prestigious Georgetown University and Lado Language International College.We live right in the middle of the city, giving easy access to the first-class and often free cultural opportunities in the excisting international metropolis of the U.S.capital city.Amanda is an easygoing full of smites active one-and-a half-year old.Chris is an energetic and upbeat almost five-year-old.Marcus is a news reporter and has covered wars in Bosnia- Herzegovina and Saudi Arabia, among other assignments including the covering the Congress and the White House.Beatrice works for the human rights organization Amnesty International as foreign policy lobbyist.Our lifestyle is fairly simple although fast-paces and hectic.We sometimes have late dinners together in the evenings although not every night.On weekends we often host visiting relatives or friends, take them to visit museums or other DC sites and do errands.We also travel approximately once every few months to visit relatives or friends.Tillträde: Hösten -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
