Au Pair/Washington DC, MA

Zoe is a ten-year old girl and Dominic is a six (almost seven)-year old boy.Both children are very interested in athletic activities.Zoe is very involved in soccer and other sports.Zoe is also an accomplished figure skater.Dominic also plays soccer, baseball, basketball and football and is also a good ice skater.Evelyn has been selling industrial print, CD and web advertising for the same company for the last twelve years.She has been highly successful, recognized as the number one salesperson for the company several times over those twelve years.Her territory is the Maryland/UC/Virginia area and she works from our house, which provides a great deal of flexibility and allows her to be home typically by six PM on any given day.Steve is currently a sales director for a large global software company and focuses on technical solutions for insurance companies.Regarding guidelines for an au pair, our needs are fairly minimal.We do not allow any smoking in the house or cars.We desire a person that respects our time (is not late for anything) and we respect their time as well (especially with time off).We expect that the au pair is a very good and careful driver.Our house is kept very clean and we wish for an au pair to be consistent with how the house is kept.We do have a cleaning lady come to the house once per week so extensive cleaning is certainly not required.We would expect that the au pair picks up after the children (or better yet, helps them to do it themselves), makes beds, does some of the children's laundry, and does kitchen cleaning after the children eat making sure that the kitchen is clean.We would like the au pair to start working at 6:45AM to get the children ready for school and take them to school, then after the light cleaning, you should be free on your own from 8:30AM to 3:OOPM when you would need to pick up the children from school and get them to their activities.If there are no activities, the au pair should be available to play with and/or watch the children if they are playing with friends inside or outside.During the summer, the children would be in day camp so the schedule would be similar.We have had both live-in and live-out childcare over the years.Our current au pair has been with us over one year and is returning to start university.Before we started with the au pair program, our prior childcare person was with us for over five years and only left to return to her country (Philippines).We have extensive international experience and live in an international community that we believe makes us excellent candidates to host an au pair.We look forward to continuing our au pair experience.Tillträde: Vintern/våren -09 Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
