Arbetsbeskrivning

Dear Au Pair, We're very excited to meet you and are looking forward to having you join our family and spend the year (or more!) with us here in the Washington area.We live in Maryland, in a suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., where Beth and Glenn both work. They are both smart, energetic, out-going and fun children who ask lots of questions and like to do new things.Washington is a great place to live and visit. It is the national capital, and has wonderful (free) museums, restaurants, plays and concert halls. There are beautiful parks, tennis courts, and bike trails near our house, as well as restaurants, bookstores, movie theaters, libraries, and a variety of shops.Clara is very creative - she loves writing stories and acting in plays. This year she was in her school's production of "The Music Man." She takes horseback riding lessons not far from our home. She is learning to play electric guitar and also taking a computer animation class.Joey is an equally interesting and smart Child. He is especially interested in science. At different times in the year he plays flag football, basketball and tennis. We expect to ask our au pair to work from 2 or 3 p.m.to 6 or 7 p.m.during the week. Our au pair will meet the kids after school, a few blocks from our house. On days when they have after school activities, our au pair will drive or walk them to the activity, and bring them home. After school also is the time for doing homework, practicing instruments, and playing. We also will ask our au pair to care for the children on the occasional weekday when school is closed.Flexibility is an important quality to us, as plans and schedules occasionally change unexpectedly.Other qualities we are looking for are excellent judgment and common sense, and the ability to communicate well; we will want to know both the details of the children's activities and anything important that happened or that you notice in their development.A good sense of humor is important, as is being friendly, energetic, outgoing, and creative in finding fun activities to participate in with the children. The children will want you to join them in playing games, building, and physical activities. We would like you to be neat, clean and organized, overseeing and helping the children to keep their toys sorted and put away, and making sure the children's clothes are neat and organized in their drawers and closets.Part of your job is teaching those skills to our children. We look forward to talking with you and meeting you Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.
