Au Pair/Watchung, NJ

The Members of our Family: Our family consists of Tony, Lara, Doug and Darell Blaney.Tony, the father, is 50 years old, and owns a land surveying company in Westfield NJ (about 10 minutes from our home).Lara, the mother, is 42 years old and is an attorney.Doug, the oldest son, is 12 years old.He is in the 5th grade at Valley View School.His hobbies include: swimming, running track, playing baseball, and playing video games and legos with his little brother.Darell, the youngest, is 8 years old.He enjoys playing baseball, riding his bike, and computer games as well as playing Star Wars Legos with his brother.Kipper, our chocolate Labrador retriever, will be 3 years old in July.He is extremely friendly and loves to play bail and go on walks.Our children are very caring as well and also very shy.It will take a while for them to get to know our new au pair.As we have not had an au pair in 5 years.When she goes to work out of the home, it will be an adjustment. The boys like to keep each other company and get along very well.Basically, since they are older, we just need to have someone in the house to supervise homework duty, offer them meals, and monitor their safety. We have had 3 au pairs in the past all of which were wonderful, Beatrice, our first au pair, came in 1996 and was from Sweden.Clara, our second au pair, came in 1997, and was from Germany.Finally, our last au pair, Mark, came in 1998 and was from South Africa.We still keep in touch with all of them and all were a part of our family.When our au pair is off duty the au pair is free to drive our 3rd car and go out shopping, to the movies or out with friends.We would like to establish a curfew of 11:00 PM during the week and 2:00 AM on weekends.We are also very flexible and will work with our au pair in any way we can to make you feel comfortable in our home.Our community is very small but is within very close proximity to major malts, movie theatres and to New York City.There is a train close by that goes into New York and our au pair will have access to a vehicle as well.We also have a vacation condo at the New Jersey Shore.We usually go to our condo in the summer on weekends.Our au pair can either stay home or is always welcome to come with us as it is a nice location right on the ocean and close to the boardwalk.We look forward to welcoming a kind responsible au pair to our home.Tillträde: Hösten -08 Fri resa och sjukförsäkring ingår (värde 5800:-) om du har en komplett ansökan före den 31 juli 2008.Gäller vid avresa till USA under 2008.Eget boende, betald semester.Studiemedel 500-1000 dollar.Hemreseskydd vid allvarlig familjesituation.4 dagars kurs i NY innan ankomst till familjen.Regelbundna Au Pairmöten i USA.Vi gör regelbundna intervjuer på orter runt om i Sverige.
