We have been married for 22 years and have two children Sophia, 16 and Daniel, 12.We have been in West Caldwell since 1988.Sophia is a junior (eleventh grade) at High School.She is a good student, loves to read, listens to all kinds of music, plays the trumpet, works as a waitress most weekends, and loves spending time with her friends.She is usually quite cheerful and a pleasure to talk to.But she is also sixteen, learning to drive, and will be going to college in a year and a half.In other words, she is a teen-ager who loves to display her independence.But like most teenagers, she's not quite ready to be on her own.Daniel is in the seventh grade and attends middle School.He is also a good student and really enjoys school.He plays baseball, basketball and soccer.But what he really loves is music.He plays three instruments - piano, clarinet and saxophone - and practices all of them every day.Sometimes he's a little bit moody, but even then, he knows how to laugh at himself.West Caldwell has a great deal to offer - lots of open spaces, attractive homes, a small-town atmosphere, many parks and recreational opportunities, two great public swimming pools where the kids spend a lot of time in the summer, and beautiful surrounding areas.For many, the town's biggest attraction is its proximity to New York City, with the 20-mile trip taking anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes depending on traffic, (The bus, which is within walking distance of our home, generally takes an hour).All our au pairs have spent a great deal of time visiting and getting to know New York.Nice home, nice town, and a nice family with two great kids.Lots of work, but lots of free time and lots of places to see.We think we have much to offer an au pair and know that our other au pairs have greatly enjoyed living with us and will remain close to us for a tong, long time, perhaps a lifetime.Tillträde: Hösten/Vintern Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
