Au Pair/West Caldwell, NY.

I (Jacob) am 50 years old and my wife Riley is 42.We have been married for 18 years and have two children - Grace, 12 and Simon, 8.Both Riley and I are from the New York area and have lived here most of our lives.We have been in West Caldwell since 1988.Grace is in the seventh grade at the local middle school.She loves to read, listens to all kin of music, plays the trumpet, enjoys lots of sports, particularly swimming, and spends a lot of time with her friends.She is usually quite cheerful and a pleasure to talk to.Sometimes she a little quiet, and as she approaches adolescence, she is naturally becoming more independent.Simon is in the third grade.He is an active boy and plays lots of sports - baseball, basketball, tennis, soccer, ice-skating, bowling and Tae Kwan Do.He has also started piano lessons.He's a very friendly kid who talks a lot and has a beautiful smile.Simon is a lot of fun.West Caldwell has a great deal to offer - lots of open spaces, attractive homes, a small-town atmosphere, many parks and recreational opportunities, two great public swimming pools where the kids spend a lot of time in the summer, and beautiful surrounding areas.For many, the town's biggest attraction is its proximity to New York City, with the 20-mile trip taking anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes depending on traffic.(The bus, which is within walking distance of our home, generally takes an hour).Because we have long commutes to work, we leave the house at about 7:00 in the morning and don't generally get back until about 7:30 in the evening.This doesn't mean that our au pairs work all day.In fact, the hours between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM (when the kids are in school) are free time, and we seldom ask our au pairs to work evenings or weekends.We have two cars and do our best to make one available to our au pair for her personal use every evening and as much as possible on weekends.We believe that our home is a comfortable place for an au pair, with lots of space, all the modern conveniences, a lovely yard, and quiet, pleasant surroundings.We have five bedrooms - three upstairs, where the four of us sleep, and two downstairs, one of which is for our au pair.The au pair room has a TV, VCR, stereo and a bathroom right next to it.Nice home, nice town, and a nice family with two great kids.Lots of work, but lots of free time and lots of places to see.We think we have much to offer an au pair and know that our other au pairs have greatly enjoyed living with us and will remain close to us for a long, long time, perhaps a lifetime.Du får alltid eget boende, 2 veckors betald semester, $500-$1000 dollar i studiemedel beroende på au pairtjänst.Flygbiljett t & r om du arbetar ett år.Visum för 13 månader.13:e månaden kan du resa runt i USA på egen hand eller genom Track America.Vi har ett ombud på platsen där du bor, som hjälper dig till rätta i din vardag och presenterar dig för andra ungdomar i området.Tillträde: Våren -06 Ålder: 18 - 26 år.
