Introducing Our Family Elle, eleven months old loves music, picture books, and exploring everything in her environment.She is crawling, pulling to stand and cruising.She babbles, "reads" her books, and delights us with her sounds and smiles.She takes two naps per day and is a good sleeper at night.We can't take her out without people stopping us to admire her beautiful face and long hair.Our seven-year-old middle daughter, Beth, is a sweetheart, and awesome hugger, loves to play with her toy horses and cars, and enjoys puzzles and drawing.She has a great sense of humor and a smile that can light up a room. Our oldest daughter, Kathy, is nine years old.She is creative, studious, loves music and art, and loves to read.She attends a "day school," where she enjoys writing, math, and other subjects.A school bus picks Kathy up at our home around 7:30 a.m.and drops her off around 4 p.m. Lara (Mom) Born in upstate New York.After law school, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as a lawyer with a large law firm and then with a global advertising agency.Jason (Dad).Runs his small management consulting business from his "global headquarters" (located in our house).During a typical week, he is in and out of his office at home and travels locally.His business sometimes requires day trips to nearby clients in NY, Connecticut and New Jersey as well as occasional out-of-town travel. Our Philosophy and Lifestyle We are both very hands-on parents with our kids and our home.Both of us prepare meals, do the dishes, give the kids baths, change the baby's diapers, drive the kids to their activities, etc.We feel it's very important for children to have two parents who are "present" and involved in their daily lives.We eat dinner together most nights of the week and make a big deal out of celebrating big and little holidays.We take a lot of home video and photos and like to appreciate the moment as well as plan for the future.
