Audio Codec QA Engineer

Job description: We are looking for a quality assurance (QA) engineer whose main tasks will be to ensure the high quality of our audio codec software. The position involves working closely together with software developers and other QA engineers to evaluate and improve subjective and objective codec performance under various conditions and on multiple desktop platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux). The QA engineer will also be responsible for developing new test and simulation environments.
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience:
. Knowledge of speech/audio processing in general
. Good knowledge of TCP/IP networks
. You are tech-savvy yet can set yourself in end user's position
. You are interested in learning new technologies
Big plus if you have:
. Good knowledge in C/C++
. Good knowledge in Perl, Python, Unit and test automation experience
. Experience of developing and executing tests for real time systems
. Good knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
. Good knowledge of mobile device operating systems (Symbian, Windows Mobile, Linux Embedded)
. Good knowledge of wireless networking (Wifi, WCDMA/UMTS, GPRS)
. Experience with a defect tracking system (e.g. Bugzilla)
. Good knowledge of Matlab
. M.Sc. degree in CS/EE or equivalent
