HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
As a Backend Developer, you will be part of a team developing new tools to support engineering and tendering of HVDC stations. You will work in an agile setup team, with colleagues mainly in Västerås/Ludvika and cooperating with a team in Bangalore.
The team is working in an agile way where all team members are expected to contribute with their knowledge and experiences to achieve the common goals for the development of the products. This means that the team is doing a breakdown of activities together, collaborating within the team as well as seeking collaboration with the relevant teams in the HVDC organization.

Your responsibilities
Being able to stay on the scope and take responsibility for meeting milestones and deadlines
Being good at analyzing, designing, and implementing components by applying best practices and coding standards
Proactively come up with suggestions for improvements; thinks laterally; receptive to new ideas
Work closely with a dynamic group of people in various time zones with design and web applications development using C#.Net, Asp.Net Web API
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and create data access layer using Entity framework
Design and develop microservices with .Net Core framework and implement software design patterns in developing microservices
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system and develop software verification plans to meet quality assurance procedures
Document and maintain software functionality

Your background
English language proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills
4+ years of experience in dotnet web application development
Strong expertise with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, LINQ, EF, DI
Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and have experience with azure service bus and azure storage account. Experience with Dockers
1+ years of experience in both PostgresQL and Mongodb
Experience with developing web APIs and Git versioning control
2+ years of experience in .Net core
Experience with user interface design
Eagerness to solve complex problems across teams and architecture
