Backend Developer

Today we are searching for a new consultant for work in the position as a Backend Developer. The work will take place in the customers facilities in Stockholm.

Job description:
Our customer is a leading digital company within entertainment and media, that now is building a video streaming service that will go head-to-head with Netflix.

You will join a passionate team with experience from some of today´s leading services for its markets, such as Netflix, Viaplay, Spotify, SVT and Qbrick.

You are as a person curious and want to know more about new products/systems, how they work, are structured etc. and how they can be used in your assignment to further challenge you and your colleagues to find new applications and solutions.

As Backend Developer you will:
- Participate in design, implementation, testing and release
- Define requirements and approaches
- Write code to scale to millions of users, terabytes of data
- Understand and address latency, performance, and security issues with cloud development
- Write components from scratch from business rules
- Continuously learn by doing awesome stuff

Required competence (need to have)
- Minimum 8 years experience as Backend Developer
- Several years experience of JAVA, Amazon Cloude Services such as DynamoDB and EC2
- Ninja knowledge of programming is a must
- Knowledge of shell scripting, Python and functional languages
- You have a passion for customer centric and lean development. You are an open-minded team player, passionate and the way you work energizes others. You like working in a startup environment where speed, performance and freedom is the culture.

Wanted competence (good to have)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish
- Several years? experience of Mongo DB & Apache DB
- Good understanding/experience of APP-development for iOS and Android.

Start: ASAP
Duration: ~6 months duration with good possibility of extension.
Location: Stockholm
Required languages: Swedish & English
