Backend Developer To MatHem

Job description

MatHem is Sweden's most used e-commerce product and has over a half million registered customers. We are looking for a passionate backend developer who wants to be a part of the team shifting technical foundation to the next level at MatHem. We have flexible working hours and like to combine our work with daily breakfast and After Work. We have recently moved to a modern office located centrally in Gamla Stan with a view over the Royal Palace. 

Responsibilities
We are looking for an ambitious person with at least 3 years of experience in software development, preferable in C#/.NET. You will be part of a friendly and “family feeling” team and develop a high-scalable, robust and cloud-based platform that orchestrates MatHem’s sophisticated supply chain.
 
Our aim is to have frequent and rapid releases with high quality, engineer the system based on modern techniques with domain-driven design and reactive manifesto, that will be capable of handling the growing market of online grocery shopping.
 
We are in an adventure of going from monolith and on-premise services into pure cloud serverless architecture with well defined microservice boundaries. Therefore, we are very keen on automated quality assurance, to be confident that every piece of puzzle works as a system.

Qualifications
We are looking for a person who loves the latest and greatest technologies and thrives in a flat team with rotating and variating responsibilities. In our team we sometimes have straight forward requirements and reasonable lead times and we hope you are goal-oriented and excited to solve tricky business tasks. We strive for technical excellence with respect to the product goals, keeping an open and friendly atmosphere!

The technical experience we wish to see in you are listed below. We understand and encourage that there is room for learning something new, therefore please feel free to explain who you are:
At least 3 years of experience in C# for either framework/core
Basic understanding of distributed systems
Ability to distinguish between different communication models in distributed systems
Knowledge and experience with databases
Experience in one of the CI/CD tool, such as GitLab, GitHub or similar
Experience in unit testing and mocking
Agile way of thinking based on Scrum/Kanban
Balanced way of thinking with respect to both technical excellence and business goal

Not necessary, but very useful to have:
Hands-on experience with AWS 
Experience in working with distributed systems
Ability to explain complex C# paradigms, for example thread-safe collections, middleware, expressions, etc
Experience in automated acceptance testing for distributed systems
