Best beaches, Best family - Once in yr life!

Reference number: Auckland2023 City: Auckland We are a family of five living in the beautiful seaside community of Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand.oh and we also have two cute cats, Libby & Kylie!Devonport encompasses everything great about Auckland, it is only a 10 minute ferry ride to the heart of the city yet being at the end of the North Shore peninsula, is a quiet, friendly town with lovely shops and cafes not to mention two of the best beaches in Auckland.Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and a centre for both business and arts.It is situated on a beautiful harbour and known as the "city of sails" due to the number of boats on the water.It's an exciting, friendly city with many cultures and wonderful food & wine influenced by this diversity.Five years ago we moved back to New Zealand from seven years working and living in the United States.We dreamed about moving to Devonport on our return, so are very happy that it is now a reality for us.We are currently completing the construction of our new home at the end of beautiful Narrowneck beach.We plan to move in mid-April and are now looking for an Au Pair to start with us around this time. Our Au Pair will have her own room and share a bathroom with our son, Luke.Having lived outside of New Zealand ourselves, we think our Au Pair will especially appreciate the warmth in our new home over the winter here, as most houses in New Zealand lack the insulation typically found overseas. We are a minutes walk from public transport and our Au Pair will have the use of our car during the week and if necessary by arrangement on the weekends.All three children are used to a nanny as I have been working part-time for some time now, so they are quite happy to say goodbye to us in the morning, knowing they will see us again in the afternoon.Family is really important to us, so we spend quite a lot of time with both sets of the kid's grandparents.Scott's parents live on an island reknown for its wine production, in the Auckland harbour, 30 minutes from Devonport via ferry.My parents live 40 minutes south of us via car, but they also run a dairy farm in Taranaki.In fact we have just returned from the farm where the children had a wonderful time playing with the cows, sheep and ponies.We would love to share these and other special places in New Zealand with our Au Pair.Besok vår hemsida: www.aupairdownunder.co.uk för att läsa om fler familjer, Nya Zeeland och om hur andra Au Pairer har haft det under sitt år här! Du arbetar max 40 timmar per vecka..Du får två dagar ledigt i rad (ofta helgen) och i många fall möjlighet till mer, våra familjer är mycket flexibla.. Du får 150 dollar per vecka (håll i åtanke att Nya Zeeland är billigare än många andra länder) . Du får 1040 dollar som en completion bonus (efter 12 månader) för att använda till din retur resa, eller att spendera på shopping, resor eller vad du vill!.Det finns Au Pair Team Leaders på plats som arrangerar olika events och aktiviteter. . Du har möjlighet att gå på en 2 dagars orientation kurs i Auckland då du får chansen att lära dig mer om barn, engelska och Nya Zeeland.. Du kan ta engelska kurser (både för att förbättra din engelska och certifiera dig själv)....
