Position: Billing Developer

Company: This is a leading broadband and Internet services provider to clients across Europe, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of France Telecom. In the Netherlands, our client has over 600,000 paying customers and they are the market leader in broadband Internet solutions.

The company is a dynamic, innovative and successful company based in the heart of Amsterdam.

Main Tasks: For our client's Development Team, responsible for the development and maintenance of new functionalities its Billing System (Portal Infranet), and for the development of interfaces from Infranet to surrounding service platforms, we are currently looking for experienced candidates (f/m) for the position of Billing Developer.

- Together with IS Project Managers and Operations, assess the feasibility of new requirements and the effort involved. Propose the technical design.
- Write detailed technical specifications and exploitation guidelines
- Development of Application Programming Interfaces on Infranet.
- Development of interfaces with technical platforms.
- Customization of Infranet Billing System (C development, configurations, etc.).
- Maintenance of Customer and Customer representative GUI's.
- Ensure adequate performance tests and code change management, security, reporting, failure management, etc.
- With applications deployed in a production environment, you will investigate and solve potential problems.
- Pro-actively suggest improvements with respect to productivity, architecture, working methods, specifications and code quality.

Requirements: Higher Vocational or University level, preferably Computer Science or similar. Minimal 2 years relevant work experience as a developer in a systeem engineering setting. Specialist level of knowledge in C, server applications (i.e. Billing/ CRM applications), Perl and Shell scripts. Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX. Preferably experience at an ISP/Telco and experience with billing software (i.e. Infranet).
Fluency in English (working language). Flexible. Accurate. Tenacious. Ability to cope with pressure.
