Novozymes Biopharma AB is a subsidiary of Novozymes A/S performing microbiologically based contract manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).Our main customers are industries within the pharmaceutical and biotech area.We are situated in Lund, Sweden, where we have modern laboratories and production facilities.The number of employees today is 88, whereof 10 are working in the Department of Biochemical analysis. Due to an increasing demand of our contract manufacturing services the Department of Biochemical analysis seeks a new co-worker. Biochemist You will be a part of the Department of biochemical analysis at Novozymes Biopharma AB.The work mainly consists of transfer, development and validation of analytical methods as well as characterization and analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients during process development.You will use different biochemical techniques such as immune based assays, gel-electrophoresis, as well as enzyme assays.The work is performed in close collaboration with our customers and in compliance with GMP. We believe that you have a Master of Science degree in biochemistry or equivalent educations within the scientific/technical field.It is essential that you have the experience and a keen interest in practical laboratory work and protein chemistry preferably from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.You should also have the practical and theoretical experience of methods like ELISA, Western blot etc.Since we operate in an international environment and in compliance with GMP you must be able to document and communicate your results in both Scandinavian languages and English.Candidates should posses good social skills and be strong team players.It is also important to be independent, driving, methodical and analytical.
