About Bose

In the late 1970’s, the Bose home audio business was off and running! Our founder, Dr. Amar Bose, sat in an office at MIT, musing with a colleague about a new idea. When crafting speakers for the home, it was impossible to account for the acoustics of the room those speakers sat in, where they were placed, and where they were in relation to the listener. But in the automobile cabin, you could account for all three. So, it would stand to reason that a sound system specifically crafted for a certain audio cabin could drastically improve the in-car audio experience. And when in 1982, the first Cadillac Seville rolled off the line with the first factory installed, Bose custom-designed audio system ever, the potential of Dr. Bose’s idea was realized!

Today, we work with automobile Manufacturers across the globe to deliver outstanding audio-based experiences and more, applying thoughtfully coordinated and meticulously engineered loudspeakers, amplifiers, and signal processing. And even though we’ve done incredible things, we know we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible.

We are looking for a System Architect to work with an interdisciplinary team to develop platforms that will enable the world’s best audio experiences in a car.

How you’ll make an impact:

- Study customer needs
- Develop system architectures
- Lead multi-functional development teams
- Produce excellent user documentation
- Work directly with Automotive OEM Customers
- Influence product technical direction with customers and internal teams


Skills you’ll need to be successful:

- DSP or Embedded Software
- Requirements Writing
- Architecture Development
- Leadership
- Problem Solving


Nice to have skills:

- Vehicle Electronic Architectures
- Audio Processing
- MBSE Tools (e.g. SysML)
- Acoustics


About You

- At least BS degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience
- Automotive Audio experience is a plus
- English fluent oral and written
- Travel up to 10 % of the time is required

This position is fully remote, but You have of course the possibility to join our office in Mölndal.

You will be hired in Sweden, under Swedish law, but will report directly to the responsible Manager in Bose HQ, Boston US
