Position: Business Analyst - Reporting

Company: This is a leading broadband and Internet services provider to clients across Europe, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of France Telecom. In the Netherlands, our client has over 600,000 paying customers and they are the market leader in broadband Internet solutions.

The company is a dynamic, innovative and successful company based in the heart of Amsterdam.

Main Tasks: Your primary responsibility consists of preparing the weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of the actuals, and analysing the monthly results. More specifically, this means that you will prepare the monthly management report for the internal organization and for external purposes.

In analysing the monthly results, you will compare the actuals with the forecasts, and verify the accuracy of the actuals as produced by the accounting department.

In addition, you will produce the customer base report, known as the Weekly Flash Report, and work on the improvement and simplification of both the internal and external reporting processes. Internally, you will assume the role of pivotal link between the operating departments and the accounting department, and between the French and Dutch organisations.

Requirements: The ideal background for this position consists of a higher vocational or University level of education in Business Economics and three years relevant experience, preferably within an IT or ISP environment.

Thorough knowledge of Excel is a definite requirement, as is an excellent command of the English language in speech and in writing. A flexible team player and a fast learner, the candidate they are looking for is a good and convincing communicator who is immune to stress, interested in IT and ISP, and willing to travel to France from time to time. Experience in the business-to-consumer market, and the ability to conduct conversations in Dutch are considered advantages. Knowledge of oracle and PowerPoint is a plus.
