The Finance Advisor works within the NER Service Finance team and provides Financial- and analytical support to the NER Customer Services Operations team. The tasks include Financial control (month/quarter-end), Forecasting, Project Management, Reporting and providing detailed, clear and insightful data analysis to the organisation. The analyst has a vital part in supporting the organisation in achieving its goals in terms of Financial- and Metric performance. In order to be successful, the Finance Advisor must have excellent analytical skills and very high standards in terms of accuracy, as well as good knowledge about Financial- and Metric dynamics. The size of the NER CS Operations is currently $90M p.a. and the NER Service Finance team comprises of 3 people, located in Amsterdam and Stockholm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Month/Quarter-end Close process. - Participation in the quarterly Financial Forecast process. - Exercising financial controllership over the NER CS Operations. - Support the respective management teams in the execution of their plans. - Providing clear, insightful analysis on CS performance in terms of key metrics, and the variances between actual and targeted performance. - Management of smaller projects and being Financial analyst in other projects. - Reconciliation of Outsource Partner (OSP) invoices. - Be the first point of contact for other OSP-related, financial matters, such as invoice disputes etc. - Calculate Bonus/Penalty charges for our OSPs. - The Finance Advisor does not always receive instructions. Rather, the position requires the person to proactively identify potential issues within the organisation on Financial- or Metric performance, and providing proposals to the management for mitigation. Skills required for this position are: - Excellent understanding of the company's business goals and objectives. - Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate. - Excellent problem solving skills. - Excellent ability to gather, monitor and provide accurate, complex data analysis. Ability to identify issues and propose mitigation through data analysis. - Good verbal and written communications skills, both local language and English. - Ability to work without close managerial supervision. - Ability to shift perspective from detail-orientation to holistic approach. - High level of integrity in terms of being able to handle strictly confidential information. - Background in US high-tech company as well as work experience abroad are both advantages. - A good understanding of Call Centre operations is a distinct advantage. Educational level and experience required for this position are: - University degree or similar. - Minimum 3 years experience in Financial reporting or analytical role.
