Purpose of the role
As a trusted Business Partner you drive the value creation by supporting the sales controlling team and business segments within Advanced Materials through insight, financial expertise, challenge, and steering support.
You become the leading expert in tools, systems and reporting matter that allows data collection and representation to support the above-mentioned value creation controlling activities.

What you will do
As a business analyst in the sales controlling team you will:
Provide accurate and timely data support during monthly reporting for finance as well as sales function.
Support sales with clear data analysis, messages, and actions.
Develop, as a leader of self, a deep knowledge of systems, tools and processes within sales controlling.
Prepare monthly performance reviews presentations and analysis with and for Sales Controlling, Sales Segment teams and as well as deliver the relevant Sales Segment KPIs.
Support the development of sales segment strategy, annual plan, rolling FC, and forward-looking activities cross-functional.
Assist sales value creation by providing insight, financial analysis, and steering support.
Development projects within Sales Controlling or cross functional where required.

The essentials
Experience in performance management processes of reporting, planning & follow-up, ideally in the process industry.
Outstanding analytical skills and enthusiasm for quantitative decision analysis.
Go-getter, driven, enthusiasm for detail and thoroughness.
Strong team-orientated personality to act as a challenging business partner.
Balanced communication and influencing abilities in a multinational environment.
Strong competence to translate analysis into messages, recommendations, and actions.
Good conceptual insight into financial profitability, value creation and performance drivers.
Advanced skills in spreadsheet and relational database tools (Excel, PowerBI, MS Office, etc.).

The team
You will report to VP Sales Controlling Europe and work alongside a multinational team of 4. Our purpose is to drive sales value creation by providing insight, financial expertise, challenge and steering support.
In your role as a Business Partner you will work closely with several heads of sales, senior finance leaders in all sub functions supporting Business Line Advanced Materials.
The role provides excellent growth opportunities as the strong analytical nature of the role, coupled with the resulting business understanding, will provide a solid basis for further development within Outokumpu.

Location
Flexible - at or close to Outokumpu’s main European hubs (Helsinki or Tornio/Kemi, Finland; Düsseldorf region, Germany; Avesta region, Sweden; Sheffield, U.K., and Vilnius, Lithuania).
