Volvo Car Corporation designs,develops, manufactures and markets Volvo Cars all over the world. Its research and development mostly takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden. Volvo Cars IT Product Development is responsible for methods, information, applications and IT infrastructure supporting the development of new cars and their manufacturing processes. We are working closely together with the involved business process representatives and we have actively participated in taking Volvo Cars into a leading position of automotive development working methodology. We have a relatively small, experienced core team of employees, but we manage altogether around 200 people for development, maintenance and support.

Job Description:

The Business Analyst works with business partners to identify project business value and associated metrics, assists with translation of business requirements into IT design specifications as well as establishes roadmap for achieving future state with business and IT partners.

The virtual technology is a core part of the new Manufacturing engineering work methodology. We are developing and implementing a completely new global set of methods and tools for Product Development called C3PNG. This covers all Product data management (PIM) and the way to develop and analyse all solutions for Product, Manufacturing processes and Plant resources (CAD/CAM/CAE).

We now look for a person to handle PLM implementation within the Manufacturing Engineering area.

The job involves international contacts in global workgroups, but it is also a key task to inform and communicate widely within Volvo Cars. Our fields of interest are Manufacturing process development, Product development as well as Product information towards Production and Assembly.

Qualifications:

Master degree in Engineering or Information Technology.
Experience of Business Process Reengineering.
High skills in virtual methods and tools.
High skills in PLM.
Project management skills are required.
Good communicating skills, including a high level in spoken and written English.
Experience of Production processes and Product development processes are preferred.
