Volvo Cars IT Product Development is responsible for methods, information, applications and IT infrastructure supporting the development of new cars and their manufacturing processes. We are working closely together with the involved business process representatives and we have actively participated in taking Volvo Cars into a leading position of automotive development working methodology. We have a relatively small, experienced core team of employees, but we manage altogether around 200
people for development, maintenance and support.


Job Description:

The Business situation where VCC is a part of FMC result in new business processes. This creates demands on new IT-tool in alignment with working practises.
The area is Product Lifecycle Management and we are now looking for one persons to work with Product Structures.

For instance we need to support design methodology, concurrent engineering and global collaboration and make the required information and applications available around the world without unnecessary jeopardizing confidential information. You need to be interested for how different applications can be used.

Your role will be to:

analyse, collect and prioritise demands on different conceptual levels translate needs into requirements participate in design of future PLM concepts for FMC and in adaptation of legacy system manage development of processes/methods to fulfil the demands

It will be vital to establish good working relationships with colleagues within VCC as well as international colleagues at other Ford Business Units. The international environment is diverse and requires a large portion of flexibility and proactively.

Profile
Qualifications:

University degree in Information Technology or Engineering
Good Communicator including good English Language speaking and writing skills
Experience of Product Development Process in a global environment
IT-tool/system development and information modeling
Project management
