Business analyst to Hitachi Data Systems

Job description The Business Analyst (BA) is the financial control function at the deal initiation stage through to point of order acceptance.This role provides financial transaction review, revenue recognition expertise & compliance, and deal structuring for Sweden.The BA will support the lead negotiator, customer facing representatives of HDS, and primary decision makers for all sales related contracts, including Master Product, Maintenance and Support and Professional Services contracts and any related schedules and addendums and amendments.The BA will be responsible for ensuring revenue recognition compliance.The BA will also engage General Counsel when necessary for all non-standard contractual related issues.The BA is the primary interface between local country and SSC for all deal related topics.Working hours Full time, office hours are 8-17.The position will start in September 2010 and last to end of October 2011 with possibility of extension.You will work as a consultant for Brainpeople. Krav på person Qualifications We would prefer a person with at least 5 years experience as accounting specialist.University degree in business administration, and if possible specializing in accounting, is required.If possible it would also be welcome if you have experience working with US GAAP accounting rules.The official corporate language is English.All communication with FSSC and EHQ is in English.You need to be fluent in Swedish and have good English skills.Further more you need to know the Office package with Word and Excel on a very good level.It is preferable if you have experience with Oracle accounting system, but this is not a requirement.We expect that you are used to IT accounting systems and a fast learner since we use many IT systems for different financial purposes. Personal qualities You are an ambitious and responsibility taking person.You should enjoy working with people as well as independent and be able to work on several tasks at the same time.The work is sometimes on huge time pressure since BA is responsible for making sure orders are placed in time and delivered to customer in time, therefore it is preferable if you are a person who is working well under time pressure and can cope with last minute requests.
