The rise of the sharing economy, urbanization, a growing concern for the environment and improvements in technology (IOT) have all spurred the question: is there a better way to get around? This has triggered brands and cities to develop technologies and services that offer more convenient, efficient, and flexible ways to travel. Now that people have the choice, car sharing is literally exploding in number of users around the world. From only 350.000 in 2006, the number of car sharing users is expected to exceed 23 million in 2024.

This backdrop from which Volvo Cars has decided to launch a new global multiservice mobility venture. Volvo Cars has 20-30 years of experience in car sharing (Sunfleet) and Rental (Hertz) and the new venture will be able to draw from a vast base of experience.

It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the team that now, based in Stockholm, will build the new company and globalize and scale the multiservice mobility offer for customers in many markets. Our new business will be 100% digitalized; starting from the customer and working ourselves backwards. Our future success lies in our ability to utilize technology to our advantage and develop an offer that is responding to real customer needs. This is a fast-up, and will develop the solutions ourselves. We will be act and work independent from our owner Volvo Cars, most likely under a separate brand name, but with the back-up and support of a progressive and experienced global actor.

We are looking for a small, able, growth minded team. We need experience and energy to develop a fully equipped new brand and operational model for pilots and later, global roll out. We are looking for a Business Controller – business casing and planning!

In this position you are responsible for all business controlling activities related to future planning and building business cases in Volvo Mobility. The position is based at the headquarters in Stockholm and reports to Head of Finance / Deputy CFO.

Key accountabilities:
* Lead and develop business cases, including financial modelling and market analysis. Develop investment models, simulation models and scenario analysis.
* Drive, measure and evaluate value creation plans to support CFO’s strategic agenda.
* Owner of business case and investment request handling. Including running costs and revenue streams related to investment opportunities.
* Lead or participate in various ad-hoc projects relating to the current priorities.

Qualifications
* Preferably holds a Bachelor of Economics or equivalent
* 5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Controller
* High level of business understanding preferably from a start-up, OEM or car-sharing environment
* Experience in analytics, information management and BI tools and deep Excel knowledge

* You are willing to take responsibility and prepare decision-making materials under complex circumstances as well as having the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment
* You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to influence stakeholders and work in a team
* You are highly IT literate
