Business Controller to Bayer AB

We are seeking a Business Controller to Bayer AB. The Business Controller is a key cross-functional financial business partner who works as a finance business partner to the business management and for functions such as supply chain, sales and distribution and marketing.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position:

Planning:
• Compile timely the budgets, forecasts and other ad hoc planning.
• Interpret, identify gaps in plans and identifies opportunities in plans, forecasts and business in general.
• Co-ordinate, explain, agree and confirm all plans with appropriate management.

Business efficiency and earnings potential realization:
• Deliver decision support to business management for all business situations and act as sounding board to business management.
• Identify, consider and advise on earnings maximization opportunities.

Reporting:
• Defines ways to measure and to report on the key business indicators.
• Perform statistical analysis of plans and financial results, prepare and assist preparation of management reports, present financial performance and results to business management.
• Calculate and report timely on the key indicators.

• Excellent analytical skills with the proven ability to make sound financial decisions and interpret complex result statements.
• Flexibility and able to adjust to the business.
• Strong organization skills in order to manage conflicting demands and to clearly prioritize workload.
• Problem solving ability through creative thinking, and pragmatic solutions.
• Cultural awareness and team player.
• MBA or Baccalaureates degree or equivalent or studying towards that.
• Excellent Microsoft excel skills and good knowledge of SAP and other Microsoft packages.
• Proficient in English and at least Swedish. Other Scandinavian languages or German will be advantageous.
• At least 5 years working experience in a financial environment in a medium to large corporation is essential.
• Experience of working within a matrix organization.
• Cultural awareness and team player.
