Business Development Manager - Ride On

Unit/Department Description:
The category is responsible for the global business strategy based on market-, consumer-, competitor insights including P&L, strategic pricing, R & D and Design in the respective product category.

Position/Job Description:
.The BDM develops together with GPMs and Sales in the regions and countries short- or midterm plans in order to build the business in agreement with the Category Management.BDM ensures implementation of the project (plan) and continuous efficiency control.
.BDM is close to the market with a profound knowledge of market and retail/dealer business and a deep/broad understanding of business and distribution landscape.
.Responsibility for the development of ranges/ranging of category portfolio.
.Ensures that we meet the suitable price points vs.competitors in the relevant channels.
.Managing the Technical support team that consist of seven direct reporting employees.

Essential Duties:
.Tracking and monitoring of competitor and retail activities
.Market research: Monitoring of market share and competitor development
.Define and manage business development projects
.Generate Project Requests
.Setting of dealer price
.Deliver Fit/Gap analysis plus action plans

Preferred qualifications:
.University (Bachelor or Master) degree (preferred in marketing, business administration)
.More than 5 years experience in sales or product management (ideally international retail experience)
.Proven (high) project management skills

Internal and External Contacts/Customers:
.Internal: Interface to Global Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Brand Management, Market Research, Business Control and all other BDMs (synergies)

.External: Retail customers (support Sales in projects and presentations, market research) Reporting Relationship:
Budget responsibility:

Direct responsibility and control: Project budgets as approved by Category/Sales.

Indirect influence and contribution: Communication and Trade Marketing budgets

Measure of Success:
.Individual projects (time + budget + revenue)
.Market share global
.Revenue development global
