One of our clients is expanding the business in the Nordic countries and is looking to hire a Business Development Manager for Sweden.The company is one of Europe's leading privates sector weather businesses providing weather information to marine, road maintenance and industrial customers, as well as broadcasters, newspapers and digital platforms across Europe. Assignments and areas of responsibility Your main task as Business Development Manager will be to build the business through personal contacts with potential customers.You will need to develop and fulfil a marketing strategy focusing on sales and personal contacts with potential customers.You will have the full operational responsibility for business development and for the growth of the Swedish business.Initially you will rely on the international, English-speaking forecasters in the company.When the business reaches a certain level you will be asked to build your team of Swedish forecasters and sales people.Main work tasks: Sales through personal contacts (meetings and over the phone) Building and developing your network within the industry Strategic development of the business with support from the Group Commercial Director and the Group Managing Director The Business Development Manager would work from home but be expected to travel extensively around Sweden and Scandinavia to meet clients Profile You are an experienced sales professional with a background in technical sales and a proven ability to hit sales targets.Ideally you also have managerial experience.It's also a benefit if you have some meteorological knowledge or background but this is not essential.As a person you are dynamic and very committed to your work.- looking for an exciting business challenge where you can make your own decisions, manage your own business and share in the rewards when the business grows.You are fluent in Swedish and English (which is the company language).Education Preferably you will have a university science or technology degree. Experience Sales/commercial experience is essential - at least 3-5 years Management experience would be useful Any knowledge of/interest in meteorology or experience with using weather information in an industrial/business context would be a big benefit Mark your application with "Business Development Manager" in the subject.
