In this role you will be responsible for executing on the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities within the business unit HVDC. You will work in close collaboration with Managers, Project Managers, and Site Managers to develop and maintain an excellent HSE standard and performance for the unit. You will also work in close collaboration with other HSE Specialists within the business unit.

Your responsibilities
Empowering managers to understand obligations, liability and how to fulfil their roles in accordance with local HSE laws, customer requirements, company policies and standards.
Engaging internal and external stakeholders and cooperating with other functions to raise awareness and gain commitment to HSE objectives and progress.
Facilitating HSE work in HVDC projects worldwide from tender phase to commissioning to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the organization.
Reporting progress and implementation of HSE objectives and KPIs.
Analyzing HSE statistics, investigating HSE incidents, gathering feedback and communicating lessons learned and best practices to the business.
Supporting HSE risk assessments.
Planning and preforming project site audits and contractor audits.

Your background
Minimum of 5 years HSE experience.
HSE experience from infrastructure construction projects.
Expertise in management systems and reporting.
Knowledge of electrical safety, fabrication and installation is meritorious.
Qualification of contractors and experience of audits.
You have the ability to manage complex issues and work with cross-functional teams.
You are a driven, open-minded, committed and a self-reliable person.
You are a good communicator who is able to efficiently lead and coordinate teams.
You are willing to travel.
