About the job Swedbank is increasing its analytical capabilities and diversifying its data landscape, looking at new ways of capitalizing on data, with the ultimate goal of better knowing and hence better serving our customers. In doing this, new platforms and technologies for discovery, advanced analytics and big data will be explored and introduced. This will be done in close cooperation with the business and IT.

What challenges do we offer you? As a BI Lead / Business Analyst in the ODL data engineering team, you will work within the Data Discovery & BI Architecture Value Stream which is part of Group BI.

You will have an important role in a Cross Functional Team (CFT) working with use case (UC) deliveries. You will work independently as well as in close cooperation with your team, consisting of ETL developers and big data architects. You will be expected to learn diffrent financial products, collect and analyze the business requirements, lead a team to source required information from different systems, keep track of requirements being processed over the agreed sprints, define new sources in swedbank business glossary and register new BI services as part of use case.

What you need to succeed As a BI Lead / Business Analyst in data lake, we expect you to have working experience as business analyst, business acceptance tester, and process analyst. Programming is expected only in SQL. You might have been working as a requirement specialist, BI developer, system analyst or a product owner and have a solid combination of the following skills:

Big Data (general knowledge)
RDBMS (working knowledge)
SQL (working expierence)
BI/DW (working expierence)
Business-oriented, with a strong customer focus
Innovative and creative; you enjoy working in the rapidly changing digital environment


And then on top of that:

Merit is experience of work within BI area and Data Lake
Merit is conceptual knowledge of Hadoop and BI development experience
Merit is to have been working with both maintenance and development
Able to communicate effortless in English, both in writing and in speech


As a person, we expect you to have readiness and interest in learning and keeping yourself up to date with new technologies and platforms. You are a team-player with a positive and supporting mind-set and ready to excel within your area of expertise. We expect you to have good communication skills, both verbally and in written, also excellent in English.
