We are now looking to recruit a Category Area Business Navigator to join our exciting journey in CA Metal, Plastic, Float Glass

Category Area Metal, Plastic, Float Glass is part of the IKEA Range & Supply who has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. It is home of 5 Categories with 270 co-workers located in 10 offices, Europe, and Asia. Together working with 200+ supplier and annual purchase spend of 4.2B€.

The variety of materials and supply chain set-up is giving an opportunity to learn new businesses and work together with great people from different places all over the world.

As a Business Navigator in Category Area, you will be a key contributor in supporting to drive business performance, in close collaboration with business leaders.

You will support in creating and implementing the Category plan, contributing to that relevant goals are set in line with the purchasing strategy. You will work with both Business & People by exploring business opportunities and having simple, efficient, effective, and timely processes in place while continuously working on improvements and securing and participating in the development of tools and methods.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for securing the overall cost and resource allocation, working with budgeting, and forecasting of operational cost for the Category area in close collaboration with the Business Navigation Manager, to whom you will report. 

We believe that you are a person with lots of energy, drive, and dynamics, you have enthusiasm for business and people and an entrepreneurship thinking while being strong in the fact-based analysis. You want to drive the business further and have an end-to-end ownership for the purchasing part as you need to understand the business well to be able to support and navigate in the right direction.

So, we of course want you to feel passion for numbers and how these are translated into a communication language that brings attention where needed, often via story telling.

You have previous experience and a proven track record in meeting/exceeding results in a financial and/or business role. You preferably also have experience in working on a strategic level, and the ability to translate long-term priorities into clearly defined business objectives. Your strong analytical skills and fact-based business capabilities support making the right decisions and their implementations.
