Business Support and IT Specialist

Sandvik Hard Materials (SHM), a company within the business area Sandvik Tooling, manufactures a wide variety of products in cemented carbide, ranging from advanced industrial tools and customer-specific components for the engineering industry, to high-volume blanks for tools and hot rolls for the steel industry.Business support and IT provides a staff function to the extended SHM management group in the areas of overall responsibility for global IT systems and security-group IT projects.This also includes development of global processes and methods requiring IT, including sales and marketing, logistics, production and business analysis, as well as group IT purchases and operations.Key performance areas As the business support and IT specialist your responsibilities will be to work within the SHM global organization providing systems and process support for production, logistics and commercial processes.You will also undertake projects, support and development work as required.Responsibilities include: -Analyze business processes and, along with the rest of the organization, initiate and encourage process development.-Together with key-users identify, plan and launch end-user training programs according to specified needs.-Identify and create system and process specifications for required changes.-Participate in ensuring the use of SHM common global business rules and processes.-Participate in, and lead, roll-outs of global and local projects.-Coordinate cooperation with Sandvik internal IT organizations as well as external consultants.The employment includes traveling and international contacts.Primary location: Sandviken.Your profile To be successful in this position you must be able to work across cultures, in a growing and ever changing environment.You have a university degree in relevant commercial, IT or technical area, as well as knowledge and experience in ERP systems or production, logistics, or commercial systems.Knowledge and experience from production, logistics, commercial processes - procedures and practices is desirable.Good knowledge of spoken and written English is required.Knowledge and experience from one or more of the following: Movex, Santrade, Sandvik IT/SSD, International Freight, or production processes and practices, is considered an extra merit.The product area is organized in six business units based on application focus and located in Sweden, UK, France, Spain, US and Taiwan.The business units include 14 manufacturing plants and 20 sales units world-wide.The head office with management and staff functions is located in Sandviken.
