C# Developer for Zyb ApS

Poolia PRESENTATION ZYB is looking for an experienced C# developer, with a Web applications background and strong database skills, to join the back-end development team. ARBETSUPPGIFTER The main aspects of the role include: involvement in architecture and design discussions, exposure to a variety of sub-systems such as the SyncML server, SMPP client, APIs for partners/developers and for mobile applications and general Web application development. Example projects that you may be involved in could be the interface to our mobile J2ME application, our framework for integration with social networking sites and designing a highly scalable infrastructure using techniques such as database federation/sharding. The development environment comprises Subversion for source control, Visual Studio and a continuous build framework using CruiseControl. We have an agile approach to development and use the Scrum methodology to good effect. The position will involve working closely with all members of the 9 strong development team (front-end, back-end, client development) as well as with testers and project managers. The role will be based in either Copenhagen or Cambridge, UK and will require travel between these two locations (e.g. short periods once per month). The company?s working language is English. UTBILDNING/ERFARENHET Skills and Experience: Essential skills for the role: - 5+ years Web development experience - 2+ years developing multi-tier Web applications on the Microsoft platform in C# - strong architecture and object oriented design skills and use of design patterns - sound understanding .NET Framework - ability to produce technical specifications (lightweight in line with agile approach) - strong database skills - good application testing discipline through use of unit tests or test driven development. These skills are not essential for the role but would be beneficial: - proficient in ASP.NET - experience of one or more of: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle - experience developing applications focused on scalability and performance.
