Powertrain Design and Simulations (PTDS), a group of 13 employees, is responsible for two very important pieces of the Volvo Powertrain business; Systems Engineering and CAE analysis, both performed on a complete Powertrain level. At PTDS, our task is to design the most cost-efficient
powertrains that meet and exceed our car customers expectations and to ensure this, Systems Engineering and Powertrain Simulation are pivotal tools. We deliver our results both to the Powertrain engineering organization and other departments within the Volvo Cars Research and Development organization.
Your main assignments will include:
Conduct analysis work mainly based on your Simulink simulations.
Present your analysis results and recommendations to our various customers in the Volvo Cars organization, customers ranging from subject matter experts to project managers and senior management.
Invent new ways of modeling and analyzing the various powertrains that we study while making sure that the methods are scientifically sound and have an accuracy that is sufficient for the task at hand.
Document your results, your methods and analysis.
To be able to complete the assignments, the following experience and knowledge is necessary:
We require that you to have an education level of at least a M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering degree or other applicable education.
Experience of Matlab and Simulink.
Experience of conducting thorough analysis based on CAE- and
test-generated data.
Experience of working with Powertrain engineering and/or simulations.
Fluent in spoken and written Swedish.
Good in spoken and written English.
Good at the various common Microsoft Office applications such as Power Point and Excel.
Driving license.
