What’s in it for you?
The ART (Agile Release train) Deceleration and Steering, part of the Solution Vehicle Platform within the unit Product Creation at Volvo Car Group, is now looking for a committed and collaborative colleague. The ART Deceleration and Steering is responsible for the delivery of the complete Brake and Steering system including components like caliper, brake modulation, steering gear etc.

The ART is divided into 3 competence areas, Steering SW and Controls, Brake SW and Mechatronics and   Brake and Steering HW.  You will be a part of the Brake and Steering HW group.

We work in close cooperation with our suppliers, internal customers, and several different car projects. We deliver to new car projects and to current running
As a part of our team you will have the possibility to influence the future of our steering system. Together with your teammates, your scrum master, and your product owner you will secure that Volvo Cars deliver the best steering system on the market.

You will be the representative for your area and collaborate with internal stakeholders. This is role where you get an opportunity to make a change, so if you have a passion for making a difference, this is the role for you.

What you’ll do
As an electrical engineer you will be responsible for the technical quality of our steering system when it comes to electrical architecture. You will decide the specifications for new systems and constantly develop and improve our already existing systems.  You will be responsible for that the solutions that you develop are in line with Volvo Cars’ requirements and of course legal requirements in every market. You will work in a cross functional scrum team consisting of approx. 6 people. You will also be a part of a community of practice where you have your 2 closest colleagues inside the ART.  You will have the possibility to develop a great network since you will be working close with our suppliers and internal customers. Finally, you will have the possibility to improve and develop the way of working in the team/ART.

Do you fit the profile?
You have a technical education, preferably a master’s degree electrical/electronic engineering and 5 years’ experience in product development. This role requires high communication skills and you will be encouraged to constantly develop yourself. Furthermore, you have proven knowledge in SAFe and you are self-organized and drive your own business.  Technical Competence:
* ISO 16750 testing standards
* EMC
* Motor control system/ECU development
* PCB Schematics and layout
* PCB testing and design verification
* Worst case circuit analysis
* FMEA
* Engineering documentation (Requirements)
