Car Painter / Billackerare
This role sits in the Concept Workshop department which is, among other things, responsible for making sure we always have the right car, prepared top notch e.g. for marketing events, journalist drives, car shows etc. across Europe.

We are currently expanding our concept workshop team with a Car Painter.

To achieve our vision we need creative professionals with high competence who are innovative, committed and have the ability to deliver.

The workshop is located at Lindholmen, Gothenburg, and this role reports to the Head of Concept Workshop

What you'll do

- Run the daily paint shop operations
- Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely
- Plan and lead all paint jobs - painting and polishing body parts and full spec cars, both interior and exterior
- Mix paint according to specifications
- Inspect painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas
- Maintain tools and keep equipment clean and in a proper state of repair
- Continuously maintain and improve the paint shop
- Managing paint shop supplies
- Working closely with suppliers and partners
- Develop and recommend new painting methods


What you should have

- 5-10 years’ experience of automotive design painting or similar
- Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies
- Experience of project planning
- You are self-motivated and able to achieve high impact in an unstructured area - a pragmatic self-starter who acts pro-actively
- Problem-solving skills are part of your key competences
- Drivers license is a must
- Full professional proficiency in English. Swedish language knowledge is benificial
