What you’ll do
Our team’s main areas are Battery Structural Hardware and Battery raw materials. In this role, you will be managing products in the Battery HW portfolio in the development, sourcing, industrialization and running production phase. You will be working in a global cross-functional team with other buyers, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and others, to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars by focusing on quality, cost and sustainability which is one of our top priorities.  

By leading negotiations and building relationships with an international supplier base, you will be responsible for continuous improvement of the overall performance and competitiveness in the value chain. You will also be handling order management and capacity assurance. 

You and your skills
In order to succeed in this role we believe that you:
•    Have a Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent).
•    Are very skilled in negotiations.
•    Are an excellent communicator. 
•    Are creative and motivated to find new solutions and opportunities.
•    Dare to challenge status quo, suppliers and our stakeholders.
•    Can handle parallel projects and see the whole picture of a business case.
•    Are excellent in building relations both internally and externally.
•    Are a strong team player, you’re honest and work actively with self-development.
•    You have experience from Commercial and/or Engineering work. 
•    Experience from working with Electrification is meritorious.

On a personal note, we believe that you are a person who is commercial and result driven. You have a strong business acumen and like challenges where you get to set and reach goals. You have high integrity in your work, where prioritizing is an important part for you as is delivering on time.
