Category Manager

We are looking for a Category Manager to the Strategic Sourcing Organization within the Surface Division (SRD). The position is based in Örebro PC (Eyra) where you will belong to a dedicated and agile team that care about each other, have a lot of fun and that likes to find new opportunities to develop continuously.

Your mission 
Based on the divisional, product company and department mission and defined strategy, Category Manager is expected to define and implement category strategies on defined categories within the area of responsibility.
Category Manager work in close cooperation with Supplier Development Engineering, Project Sourcing Management, and applicable key stakeholders with the mission to:
•    Continuously develop defined and implemented Category Strategies
•    Provide best total acquisition cost of purchased material for the business
•    Secure the supplier base performance- and compliance through:
o    Driving Supplier Relationship Management
o    Contract Management
o    Structural Supply Management Improvements
o    Support Supplier Development activities in line with Epiroc requirements
•    Secure supplier base solutions and provide key knowledge and support for Basic Development (BD), New Development- (NPD), and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) Projects. 
•    Represent Surface Division in all applicable Global forums (Global Direct Material Organization) where the main mission is to safeguard and contribute to the Surface divisional interest but also supporting the cross-divisional category strategies to ensure alignment across Epiroc.

Your profile
Extensive experience within Strategic Sourcing and the manufacturing industry. Project manager skills and/or other leadership skills are also expected. A great level of overall business understanding including all functions within the Product Company, Surface Division and cross-divisionally.
University degree in engineering and/or business administration. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish.
Category Manager need to have a great interest in working with Supplier Management, have a solid interest in engineering combined with sourcing, and ability to build long-term relations and effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.  

Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Regular travel, both domestic and international, is required up to 20 %.
