We are looking for a Category Manager for Direct Material, responsible for a segment of components used in our vision systems.

What You´ll Do:
As Category Manager you will establish a strategy for your segments and drive execution of the strategy through interface with Engineering, Component Development, Supplier Quality, and Production. You will ensure timely sourcing of new components by working together with RFQ teams and assure it follows the documented strategy and meeting cost targets for the component.

You will act as Lead Buyer for selected suppliers, manage the relationship between suppliers and Veoneer, and conduct commercial negotiations for price, payment and delivery terms. You will also be responsible for yearly business reviews with existing suppliers. An important part is to monitor and give direction based on market trends, frequently review Supply Chain risks and maintains plans to assure continuous supply at Veoneer production sites.

Who we're looking for:
As Category Manager you need to be well structured, analytic and have high engagement to finalize work before agreed deadlines and be with good communication skills verbally and in writing. You are used to and enjoy working both independently and in global teams, taking initiative, making decisions based on facts and taking ownership of your process.

You see yourself as result oriented and quality minded person with a sense for structure and responsibility and are able to see possibilities for improvements in your daily work.

To be successful in this position, you need to have:

- Documented experience within the Category Manager or similar role
- Good skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good communications skills


Education

- University degree, or higher, within engineering or business administration, or equivalent work experience
