Category manager electronics

ValueOne is looking for a talented and experienced category manager of electronics with an appetite for change and innovation for assignment for our customer in the manufacturing industry with placement either in Stockholm or Timrå. The appointment is urgent. For the right candidate there is a strong possibility of being offered a permanent position after completed assignment.

The role

As category manager of electronics you will have the responsibility to coordinate, lead and execute the sourcing activities towards the global supplier base in product development projects and assignments. You will be an integral part of the Electronics category team bringing an ambitious, motivated approach to the group, with responsiblity for selected suppliers within the category.

Main tasks:

Make inquiries and bid evaluationsConduct supplier negotiationsTake part in supplier collaborations of various sizes making sure that the deliverables are in focus at all time with all stakeholders involvedSecure time to market promises for new and changed products as well as sharp cost awarenessMonitor and maintain the long-term performance of suppliers within your area of responsibilityTake part in and drive alignment in global sourcing processes, methods, and tools

Experience and competence

The right person for this assignment has a university degree within supply chain, engineering or equivalent education along with experience from a similar role at a manufacturing company with an international footprint. The assignment also demands knowledge in business analysis, business negotiations, Lean concept and production. Quality is a big concern for you both regarding products and processes. 

Furthermore, the role requires experience from working in multiple projects and a logical as well as an analytical way of thinking. We expect you to have good relationship management and communication skills as most of the work is cross-functional and international. You are a person who are commercially driven, motivated by challenges and have the ability to push through obstacles and find opportunities.
