We are currently looking for a talented Category Manager to help Kavall reach its full potential in matching the perfect grocery assortment to customer demands. Your responsibility will be setting up Kavall’s assortment in Norway. You will be responsible for driving sales by assortment development and optimization as well as sourcing and negotiations. What you will do (but not exclusively)
Have key responsibility for developing a base assortment for Kavall in Norway.
Be responsible for running category and sales through assortment developments and optimizations in line with the company strategy.
Market analysis and trend monitoring - you will analyse data across different customer outlets to ensure desired groceries are available in our dark stores to meet customer demands.
Sales performance tracking.
Work to develop and implement pricing strategies to ensure competitive pricing scales for Kavall groceries.
Source suppliers och run negotiations and develop long term, successful collaborations with Norwegian and international suppliers.
Negotiate and plan promotional and marketing activities.
You will report to the Head of Assortment & Buying in Sweden but operate in the Norwegian market.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
5+ years of work experience with FMCG, procurement & buying, as a category manager or equivalent.
Previous experience of having a managing/leader role in an assortment project from start to launch.
Great negotiator with a strong proven track record.
Analytical and detail oriented.
Flexible enough to adapt fast to new situations - we are a startup company where processes and systems develop and improve constantly.
Driven, with a ”forward- leaning”-approach - you are willing to take your own initiative and come up with innovative ideas to further optimise processes.
Strong social skills with a talent to build great, long-lasting relationships.
Passion for food!
Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English (Swedish is a plus!)
You will be the main person responsible for setting up and maintaining Kavall Norwegian assortment - therefore it is vital that you are independent and driven to reach company goals and further develop processes to optimise our Norwegian base.
