Division Crushing & Screening, part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, is a market leading manufacturer of stone crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. Right now, we’re looking for a Category Manager for Transports and welcome you to a very important role where you get the opportunity to actually influence our ways of working and develop our business. What about the job?
In this position, you develop and implement sourcing plans aligned to category strategies, and you ensure a successful implementation and compliance in line with these. You lead and drive sourcing projects and cases, including supplier selection and creation of contracts – where you’re responsible for the complete contract process, from negotiation to signing. Implementation and follow-up on country sourcing plans is another important task in your work to be able to identify, prepare, propose, lead and manage sourcing activities. You also establish strong relationships and work in close cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders, and with your expertise you support the onboarding of suppliers. All in all, you’re part of leading us to a more efficient and strategic future by shaping our flows and ways of working.
The location for this position is preferably Svedala, however, for the right candidate it can be flexible within Europe. Travel is normally included in your job, but due to the pandemic situation, we consider the digital arena as more important than ever, and it’s possible to work from home.
Your background and characteristics
We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree within a relevant area, for example Logistics or Supply Chain Management, combined with purchasing or sales experience from logistics or transports. You have previously worked in a similar role, perhaps in sourcing or sales, and are used to conducting negotiations and contract management. Working in an international environment calls for excellent English skills.
Your analytical and structured features really comes in handy in this role when you need to create an umbrella perspective over various situations. With your networking and communication skills, you’re an excellent negotiator who is able to explain and make others understand. Being independent makes it easy for you to get things done and, at the same time, you’re a true team player who believes that the best solutions emerges in great collaborations.
