The department of Emission Compliance Maintenance is now expanding and looking for a Certificate Updates Engineer.



About us
The Emission Compliance Maintenance department is responsible for securing diesel- and noise emission certificates compliance throughout the products regulated life. The team is working with Labels, CoP coordination, PEMS, Software Documentation, DCN & QJ handling and Certificate Updates. We have a broad contact network both internally in the Volvo Group and externally.


Emission Compliance is part of the Quality, Environment and Product Compliance organization.




Position description

Part of our group’s responsibility is to keep all our emissions and noise certificate up to date. Any product changes introduced that affect the certificate must be sent to the relevant authorities for approval. In this role it is crucial that you have the overall view of the certificate updates need and that you plan and prioritize in the right order to making sure we meet all update time deadlines. You will work with different parts of the organization to gather all data and documentation needed for the updates.




Core responsibilities
Plan, organize, prioritize, and perform certificate update work.
Follow emission legislation development in the area of certificate updates.
Ensure new update requirements are implemented and followed.
Constantly developed our ways of working.



Desirable experience and qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree or similar level of education.
Experience of working with Volvo IT systems.
Experience of technical documentation.
Knowledge of diesel engines and emissions.
Experience of authority communication.
Fluent in English is a minimum. Good Swedish is desired. Other language skills are welcome.
Good communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and in discussions.
