To strengthen our Group Reporting and Consolidation team, we’re now looking for a Group Accountant – someone with experience from managing the total spread of work common at a department for reporting and consolidation in a global company. This is an opportunity to interact in an arena with an exciting agenda aiming to increase the market position of our organization. Located at our headquarters in central Stockholm, you report to Sandvik’s Group Accounting Manager.
Your mission – supporting the Group function in high-quality reporting
In this position, you have the operational responsibility of a team that serves as a center of excellence for financial reporting and consolidation at Sandvik, including handling group reporting and consolidation projects. You actively contribute to the improvement projects and ensure that our general accounting is managed in accordance with accounting principles, and in line with all relevant regulations, laws and standards. You also secure compliance and high quality of IFRS reporting, as well as with our internal guidelines, processes and regulations in the general accounting area. The contact areas in this position are many, both towards the subsidiaries and in the internal organization.
As Group Accountant, your work also includes:
Involvement in projects from a finance perspective,
Integration of new companies in our reporting structure
Ensuring correct, compliant and timely delivery of consolidated financial data
Being operative, especially during month end
Cross-border cooperation to fulfill your mission

Your character – an experienced Group Accountant with great networking skills
We’re looking for someone with a relevant university degree, combined with at least eight years’ experience from group accounting and related areas. You’re well-versed in IFRS, and perhaps you’ve been part of implementing a standard that could bring value for us, and you’re comfortable working in different IT-systems, where SAP BPC would be beneficial. As we act locally and in an international setting, you communicate effortlessly in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
In order to thrive and be successful as a Group Accountant at Sandvik, it’s important that you’re prestigeless and easily shift between your role as a specialist and operative responsibilities. You’re both proactive and analytical and have the ability to plan and prioritize. You’re inclined to change and like to take responsibility, and we highly value your structured and independent workstyle and your goal-oriented mindset. You also understand the value of team spirit, good collaboration and being service-oriented to reach great results. Naturally, you’re interested in accounting and the complex regulations that are relevant to a global listed company, and with excellent communication skills, you effortlessly build trust among stakeholders and create strong lasting relationships with the people you meet.
