The Axis business model is strictly indirect and all sales go through a network of distribution partners and system integrators in more than 70 countries worldwide.In EMEA today, Axis has approximately 50 national distributors and three pan-European distributor accounts (Ingram Micro, Tech Data and Anixter International). The position involves being overall responsible for our indirect sales channels in EMEA ensuring that short and long term strategies are implemented and followed up.The Channel Director has direct account responsibilities for the three pan-European distributors managing them from A to Z in terms of budget, sales targets, sales & marketing activities, etc.The position also involves coordinating and leading the EMEA distribution team, consisting of a group of 9 Channel Managers responsible for distribution in their local markets. In this role, you take part in the EMEA management team and work very closely with the Global Accounts Director.The position requires traveling 5 - 10 days per month in the region. Your main activities will include; - Follow up short and long term strategic business plans for distribution - Evaluate and follow up local distributor performance - Direct account management of pan-European accounts; sales budgets, sales & marketing plans, contract negotiations, stock management, etc.- Plan, implement and follow up of distributor marketing and sales activities - Organizing monthly meetings/conference calls with the Global Accounts team - Organizing quarterly sales meetings with Channel Managers - Support the local subsidiaries in the daily work with distribution Qualifications; - University degree in business or equivalent - Experience from indirect sales channels, direct account management and channel sales & marketing activities - Extensive knowledge of the Axis Channel Partner Program and pricing structure - Fluent in English.Other European languages (French, German, Spanish or Italian) are a plus Personality; - Strategic and result oriented - Energetic - Structured with an eye for details - Good communication skills - Willing to travel - Able to handle multiple priorities The Channel Director EMEA will report to the Regional Director.The position is a temporary position for approximately 12 months until September 2008.Starting date will be ASAP during summer, allowing time for transition of responsibilities.Questions about this position?
