Chief Brand Officer

Arbetsbeskrivning

We're making a big move and we want you to be part of it.
We are relocating several of our core departments from London to Gothenburg, and as a result, we're growing our Swedish team in a major way. This means we're hiring across multiple departments simultaneously - including Brand, Product, Design, and more.
This is a unique moment to join a fast-moving, internationally recognised fashion brand as we expand our presence in Sweden. If you've been waiting for an opportunity to be part of something exciting - this is it.
Explore our open roles and find where you fit.

We are looking for our next Chief Brand Officer. In this role, you will own and evolve Axel Arigato as a strategic brand asset — anchoring its identity across product design, storytelling, and distribution, and ensuring it is expressed with consistency, cultural relevance, and intention everywhere it shows up. You will also lead the brand team, setting the direction, building the culture, and making sure the people around you do their best work.

This is a role for someone who understands that a brand is more than a visual identity. You drive desirability and long-term demand by shaping distinctive brand experiences — for communities, not just consumers. You are part of the Executive Committee bringing the Brand point of view to the table. And you know that great brand work starts with great leadership: creating the conditions for creativity and accountability to coexist.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You are a leader who combines creative conviction with commercial sharpness. You understand youth culture, fashion, and the power of community — and you know how to translate those instincts into a brand platform that moves people and drives growth. You lead with clarity, build with purpose, and bring others along with you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own the brand platform— build and execute a unified brand identity & strategy that strengthens identity, cultural relevance, and premium positioning across all markets

Lead the brand experience ecosystem — spanning cultural events, content creation & production, and digital marketing to drive consistent storytelling and community engagement, including developing a freelancer and influencer community

Drive marketing performance — optimize reach, engagement, and conversion to accelerate growth in collaboration with the E-Commerce & Marketplaces manager

Develop cultural event platforms that elevate brand visibility and create real moments of connection

Scale content production to deliver creative output that is aligned with brand voice and growth targets

Own the annual brand calendar, ensuring all touchpoints are taken care of and generate the desired outcome

Use data to lead — establish brand insights that inform creative direction, campaign decisions, and product launches

Build and mentor the team — lead a high-performing brand team and enhance cross-functional collaboration across the organisation

Work closely with the CCO on customer experience, and with the Creative Director on product design briefs to ensure consistency across brand identity and communities

Contribute at Executive Committee level, shaping business strategy alongside the leadership team

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Academic degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, or a related field

Minimum seven years of experience in marketing, with fashion, lifestyle or retail background preferred

Proven track record of leading high-performing teams across multiple marketing disciplines

Experience as part of an executive management team

Strategic brand leadership with hands-on execution — you are not just a thinker, you do

Deep integrated marketing expertise: overseeing multi-disciplinary teams across content, campaigns, social, and digital

Sharp cultural and creative acumen — a genuine understanding of youth culture, fashion, music, and community, with the ability to convert cultural insights into brand opportunities

Confident communicator who can align stakeholders around brand strategy and priorities

A BIT ABOUT AXEL ARIGATO
Founded in Sweden in 2014 by Albin Johansson and Max Svärdh, Axel Arigato was born with a disruptive mindset, modernising and democratising the sneaker landscape through a blend of style, quality, community and a digital-first approach.
Grounded in Scandinavian minimalism and elevated with playful, intentional details, every piece is designed with care: crafted to move globally, worn with individuality.
What began online expanded into physical spaces built for energetic cultural exchange: stores and experiences where conversations, performances and unexpected activations dissolve the boundaries between brand and culture.
Today, Axel Arigato continues to evolve with purpose via a people-powered approach. It shows up where culture happens: on streets, at events and across cities.
Built on curiosity. Driven by connection.
