CIO and Manager of Business Support & IT

Sandvik Hard Materials manufactures a wide variety of products in cemented carbide, ranging from advanced industrial tools and customer-specific components for the engineering industry, to high-volume blanks for tools and hot rolls for the steel industry. Business Support and IT provides a staff function to the extended SHM management group.These areas include the overall responsibility for Global IT systems and Security-Group IT Projects, CIO responsibilities, Group IT purchases and operations as well as the development of global processes and methods requiring IT including Sales and Marketing, Logistics, Production and Business analysis.Key performance areas Work is within the SHM Global Organization which entails responsibility for systems and process support for Commercial and Production processes.The undertaking of project and development work as required.You work closely with SHM Global Management Group and report to SHM CFO. The responsibilities of the role include -Developing plans and an organization to enable SHM to achieve the business strategy -Within the constraint of the SHM IT budget (approx 50 MSEK), work to implement "best practice" in all areas of IT and IT technology -Be responsible for SHM ERP system, IT governance and IT security in the Group -Manage the staff of the IT& Business support team as well as external and internal consultants -Participate in Sandvik Tooling and Sandvik IT activities -From time to time participate or manage internal process development projects within SHM The employment includes traveling and international contacts.Primary location: Sandviken Your profile To succeed in this challenging position we believe that you have a relevant IT/Technical/Commercial degree, as well as extended knowledge and experience from working with developing and implementing ERP systems and processes.Excellent knowledge of English is required, both written and oral.You are able to work across cultures and possess solid leadership capabilities and communication skills.Experience from Movex is merited.The product area is organized in six business units based on application focus and located in Sweden, UK, France, Spain, US and Taiwan.The business units include 14 manufacturing plants and 20 sales units world-wide.The head office with management and staff functions is placed in Sandviken.
