CISO (Chief Information Security Officer)

Job Description

In this new role you will be reporting to our CEO and working both strategically and operationally.

You will be responsible for not only defining but also implement and execute an information security strategy that will support and enable our growth. Further, across the organization, you will together with relevant stakeholders define best practices and bake them into our products and services nurturing a culture where information security is an enabler, not an impediment.



As Chief Information Security Officer you will

- Develop, implement, maintain and monitor information security policies and practices

- Be responsible for information security governance on projects, platforms, security operations and architecture
- Implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Work directly with the business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes
- Be responsible for the creation/roll-out of information security awareness and training programs throughout the organization
- Monitor industry trends, potential threats, vulnerabilities and control techniques; and keep senior management informed about related information security risks and implications


- Own the review and direction of information security audit and regulatory compliance where applicable
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity technology and best practices
- Work closely together with the DPO in order to ensure compliance with GDPR.




Qualifications and personal qualities

- 5+ years’ experience from similar positions
- Degree in business administration or a technology-related field
- Proven track record from developing IT security functions


- The ability to operate effectively within an organisation where some of his/her areas of responsibility or accountability would need to be delivered via influence and relationships rather than all under their control
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms and talk to various audiences
- Fluent in English
